Jacqui Priestley
Jacqui Priestley is interested in exploring aspects of memory and its relationship to identity and physical location, her work draws on memories of interaction with her surroundings. From the mundane to the extraordinary it engages with the idea and structures of memory traces and triggers, reflecting her fascination with imperfection and impermanence. Three dimensional work, drawings, photography and animation explore the transient and temporal aspects of memory and place.
Jacqui was born in West Yorkshire and after a brief spell living on the Lincolnshire/Norfolk border her husbands employment brought them to the North West in 2012. She currently lives in Cheshire.
Jacqui studied art at Mid Cheshire College and LMJU where she gained a First Class BA (Hons) Fine Art. Her practice currently involves working from studios in Cheshire and Merseyside as well as undertaking a variety of art workshops in the North West.
Her work has been exhibited widely throughout the UK and in the USA and is held in private and public collections at home and in the US and NZ.
